Why estimates on the web disagree

Some estimates use all adult men; others use a narrower age range. Some rely on self-reported height, which can differ from standardized measurement. Others assume a normal curve with a different mean or spread. Rounding the height threshold and including exactly six feet versus strictly taller than six feet can also change the result.
